Easy IRA Gift
Barbara Myers retired after thirty years as a science teacher. She had made modest contributions to Ploughshares for many years. "I especially appreciated Ploughshares support of scientists working for international diplomacy and peace." Jerry Altman volunteers as a marketing consultant for a number of organizations in his community. Recently, Ploughshares Fund told Jerry about several grants focused on peace and conflict resolution education projects with students. In late 2006 Alan Appleford, of Oakland, California parlayed a 43-year-career with Bechtel Corporation into a significant tax-free gift to Ploughshares Fund.
